The young Kinsale native made the leap from the University of Maynooth to the University of Louisville, Kentucky and hasn’t looked back since. A talented GAA player in his youth, Murphy only decided to focus on Golf as a six handicapper at the age of 16. He worked with Kinsale Golf Club coach Ian Stafford who helped Murphy quickly transform his game to scholarship level. Currently active on the Challenge Tour, Murphy eventually hopes to find a permanent home on the US PGA Tour. Making his first appearance at the Pro-Am this July.
